3.1. PyPackIT License and Copyright

We are advocates of copyleft and open-source software, and PyPackIT is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Unlike traditional copyright, which restricts the rights of others to use, modify, and distribute a work, copyleft licenses grant users the freedom to access, modify, distribute, and redistribute the work and its derivative works, as long as it remains under the same copyleft license. This ensures that the work and all its derivatives will always remain free to use.
